About

Wayward Wanders is a Melbourne walking tour operator with a difference! We offer unique experiences that focus on the environment, community and alternative culture. We take our guests away from the tourist attractions and introduce them to ‘our’ Melbourne. We visit a range of hidden treasures while delving into the important issues our city currently faces. We aim to give guests a true understanding of what it means to be a Melburnian.

Hi! My name is Liam and I am the founder of Wayward Wanders. I am a tourism specialist with over 15 years of tour guiding experience both here in Australia and abroad in Europe.

I am passionate about environmental protection and social justice, and I have a particular interest history, modern culture and all things sustainability.

I am a recent graduate of the Diploma of Sustainable Living at the University of Tasmania with honour roll recognition and I also recently participated in the Environmental Leadership Program at Port Phillip City Council. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Environment and Society at RMIT and also work for the food rescue charity OzHarvest.

The tours I have created for Wayward Wanders combine my passions and interests with my tourism industry experience and educational background. I aim to introduce guests to aspects of Melbourne they previously knew little about, while inspiring them to create positive change.

Wayward Wanders acknowledges the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of The Kulin Nation as the original custodians of the land our tours operate on.

We pay our respects to elders past and present.
