High School Tours and Experiences

If you’re looking for a unique experience for your school group, we are proud to offer specifically designed tours that connect with the Victorian curriculum. Our range of tours have themes of sustainability, social enterprise, street art, modern culture, history and more!

Urban Eco & Sustainability Tour

Sustainability is not only an important topic for students to be exposed to, but it is also one of the three cross-curriculum priorities in the Victorian Curriculum F-10. As such, we thought it was important to make our Urban Eco and Sustainability Tour accessible for our environmental leaders of the future.

This tour will introduce students to a variety of sustainability related topics including waste/recycling, urban design, sustainable architecture, social enterprise, food security, Aboriginal land management and more! Students will visually see the impacts humans are having on our environment and will be challenged to find solutions to these problems.

Our unique urban environmental tour begins at Federation Square and wanders through the CBD taking in various locations as we go. We will visit Birrarung Marr and discuss the environmental impacts of colonisation and the importance of Aboriginal knowledge in creating a more sustainable future.

This will be followed by an investigation into the health of the Birrarung (Yarra River) and a discussion about litter, garbage and recycling. From there, students will be introduced to sustainable building and urban design. Our tour will conclude with an imagining of a Melbourne and world of the future where students will be encouraged to give their input.

We aim to create a discussion with students on our tours and will encourage them to express their opinions and ideas throughout as we wander.

We offer complete customisation of this tour to fit your needs and desires. For schools we recommends a 1.5-hr tour in the Melbourne CBD, however the full 4hr version of our regular Urban Eco and Sustainability Tour is also possible.
