High School Tours and Experiences

If you’re seeking a distinctive experience for your school group, we take pride in providing specifically designed tours that align with the Victorian curriculum. Our diverse range of tours encompasses themes such as sustainability, social enterprise, street art, modern culture, history, and more!

Urban Eco & Sustainability Tour

Exposing students to sustainability is crucial, given that it is one of the three cross-curriculum priorities in the Victorian Curriculum F-10. Recognizing its significance, we have designed the Urban Eco and Sustainability Tour to be accessible for our future environmental leaders.

This tour will acquaint students with a diverse range of sustainability-related topics, covering waste/recycling, urban design, sustainable architecture, social enterprise, food security, Aboriginal land management, and more! By visually witnessing the impacts humans have on the environment, students will be prompted to explore and propose solutions to these challenges.

Embark on our distinctive urban environmental tour, commencing at Federation Square and meandering through the CBD, exploring various locations along the way. A visit to Birrarung Marr will initiate discussions on the environmental impacts of colonisation and the crucial role of Aboriginal knowledge in shaping a more sustainable future.

Following this, we’ll delve into an examination of the health of the Birrarung (Yarra River), addressing topics such as litter, garbage, and recycling. The tour will then shift focus to sustainable building and urban design. As we conclude, students will be prompted to envision a future Melbourne and world, encouraging them to share their insights.

Our goal is to foster engaging discussions with students throughout the tour, actively encouraging them to express their opinions and ideas as we wander.

This tour is fully customizable to meet your specific needs and preferences. While we recommend a 1.5-hour tour in the Melbourne CBD for schools, the full 4-hour version of our regular Urban Eco and Sustainability Tour is also available.
